About this listen

"His touch was mesmeric....It was as if she trembled on the edge of an abyss. If she fell, she would be shattered by explosions of pleasure, but Stone kept her teetering, wanting, thirsting."

A mysterious gift, handed to her by a dark and arrogant stranger. Who was he? How did he know so much about her? How did he know her life was crying out for something different? Something...exciting, erotic?

The pearl pendent propels Marika into a world of uninhabited sexuality, filled with the promise of a desire she had never thought possible. The Discipline of Pearls is an exclusive society that speaks to the very core of her sexual being, bringing with it calls to ecstasies she is powerless to ignore, unwilling to resist.

The title, unfortunately is a misnomer. There was one spanking in this novel, traditional, with the hand and over the knee and not a single whip. It is the story of a secret society in which the members meet each other and engage in a myriad of sexual ventures. Amidst the beautiful and tantalizing encounters there is an undertone of psychological dominance and submission and that's it. This is a delightful erotic tale but it does not hold a candle to the modern Story of O it claims to be.

Sensuous, Yes. Disciples of the Whip, No

I felt the title also is misleading. It started out interesting, but as the meetings continued it was bland. There could've been more details to the society's history, rules, and interactions. I lost interest in the main character and her attitudes. She seemed petulant for having to follow the rules, but very transparent in her interest of the one character. boring and dissatisfying ending

great start but,,,
