My dreams haunt me. I feel as if I am falling into a pit of impending doom, but even that has not prepared me for the roller-coaster of emotions that flood over me when I'm near Phoenix. Decadent Dreams
Would you consider the audio edition of Decadent Dreams to be better than the print version?
Nicole Garcia wrote an engaging book and the wonderful narrators brought it to life.
Have you listened to any of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I love both narrators!
The chemistry between them jumps at you from the first page.
I listened to many books narrated by them and they delight and surprise me every time.
They add something new and fresh to each book they narrate.
I love the narration style, they are both presented in each chapter which adds to the enjoyment of the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved the vulnerability of the characters. Whenever we discovered something new on either Nico or Phoenix.
Nico at first didn't work for me. I didn't know if I could like him as he was so set against Phoenix as his assistant. It had nothing to do with her professionalism or experience, he just judged her without getting to know her.
As the story progressed , we learned more about Nico's past, the painful betrayal by his late wife, and I got to like him better.
I liked the realistic portrayal of him as a middle aged man at a crossroads in his life.
Phoenix was a lot easier to relate to. Women often get passed over / judged in the work place, and I admired her professionalism and dedication. She proved her worth as a worker , equal to any man.

My Thoughts on Decadent Dreams

A story that took me by surprise with how good it was. This was a new to me author, and narrators I'm not familiar with either, but it was a really good storyline as well as really good narration.
The characters were entertaining, having me smiling or laughing out loud during many moments throughout the story. There were also many moments when I wanted to throttle the leading man, but he redeemed himself in the end.
I can definitely say I wouldn't hesitate to read more by this author and I would enjoy listening to more of these narrators. I particularly loved the duet style of narration.

Brilliantly Done!
Nico was distrustful of women because his deceased wife had cheated on him and she only wanted his money. Then his partner hired him an assistant. Phe was a stubborn bundle of spitfire. She was small, had red hair and could give anyone what for. This one can light your fuse! Well written story and the narrators make you think you are right there watching the characters. Lots of emotions are pulled out of you. Excellent!!

I loved the dual narrators. They gave the story so much character. While I thought I knew what would happen to the main characters, there was always something new in every chapter!

Thrilling, Sexy, Forbidden Romance!
I felt so many emotions while listening to this forbidden romance. It was funny, refreshing, suspenseful and hot and steamy! Nico is a widower who has forgotten what it's like to live and have fun. He works crazy hours when he isn't visiting his ailing father or his beloved grandmother who is in a nursing home. His best friend and business partner, Gio, has hired an assistant for him. Phe is intelligent, thoughtful, and feisty. No matter how hard Nico tries to blow Phe off, she surprises him again and again with her cleverness and determination. The more time they spend together, the more the sparks fly. Nico is private and closed off after the death of his wife and isn't willing to open his heart to another. But when someone tries to hurt Phe, his protective instincts take over, but is it too late? This story takes it's time developing each character, making it feel genuine and honest. Gio is a great friend and is so funny and supportive. Nico made me mad so many times but then he would be so charming and sweet. He and Phe really challenged each other, and the sparks would fly. Narrators Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross did an amazing job. They effortlessly set each scene and their delivery brought each character to life. Wen's deep timber was so sexy and Kai really made me love Phe, with her energy, sassiness and giggles. Both narrators brought this story to another level. I definitely recommend this audio.

Great story.
I loved this story. I married an older man and I love reading stories about older men and younger women simply because I know how it feels to be in that kind of a relationship. This was an exceptional read by a very talented author.

Deserves more than 5 stars
Absolutely worth your time and credit!! Thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish. From the minute it started I was completely hooked. It was addicting. I was irritated anytime I had to pause the book for any reason and couldn't wait to get back to it. This is one of those books you will listen to over and over just for the enjoyment of it.
It's a great story that's well written, very entertaining, has fantastic characters, is full of surprises and even after 10 1/2 hours you will still want more. You'll also want to keep your earbuds in. Things get deliciously steamy.
While it is an emotional roller-coaster it is so worth the ride. It's also humorous at times and you'll find yourself laughing out loud.
Fantastic narration. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are an awesome team. This is how all dual narration should be done. They compliment each other perfectly. Great character voices. Perfect tone and delivery of the humor. They brought the characters, their emotions and the story to life.

Nico and Phoenix are super hot together!
Nico is a successful business owner who works himself ragged. His bf Gio finds an assistant for him. Nico is quite stubborn but in Phoenix he meets his match. I couldn’t stop listening to this story but I had to work lol There are super sweet moments, frustrating ones and suspenseful ones. I definitely loved this couple and his friends but Nico was a bit too much at times. I would like to know if Gio finds his one and only and Josh too.
