About this listen

The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe. What I didn't anticipate was that there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me.

And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens . . . I resonate to him. Resonance means mating and children . . . but I don't know if this guy's ever been around anyone before. He's truly a barbarian in all ways, right down to clubbing me over the head and claiming me as his own. So why is it that I crave his touch and hunger for more?

Contains mature themes.

Great story, Sexy narration

Harlow is a strong woman who deals with really bad life changing events. 1. Illness 2. Kidnapped by aliens (remember it is SiFi) 3. Stolen again by another alien who only grunts. Ruhk is and has been alone since a child. All the while having a genuine fear of the Bad Ones. The relationship that develops is deep and lovely even with the huge communication barrier and painful inner demons. No wonder this couple will become strong leaders of the tribe.

Get ready. This caveman Barbarian is REAL!

Just wait til you meet Rukh. Yeah, he’s tall, sexy and don’t know it but…He’s way out crazy! Well, uncivilized, maybe even feral.
Harlow, on the other hand, is a very civilized, very smart, very sweet woman. Rukh’s perfect match.
She’s just minding her own business, trying to help others on the frozen planet of Not-Hoth when Rukh hits her like a ton of bricks, shall we say. I could almost feel it myself.
I hope you’ve listened to the first three of Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon. The narration is male/female, spot on and totally five stars!
I wish I could listen to the series again for the first time. I’d savor every word instead of gobbling them up without a breath!
This series is the best scifi-rom ever. Laughs, heat, a great back story, characters who come alive. And the world building is the ultimate best! You’re gonna love it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A consistently romantic and entertaining series.

This is book 4 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and while each story stands alone, I recommend they be read in order, if possible. This is Harlow and Rukh’s story and the warm cocoon of love they build is as lovely as the other stories that precede it. The difference is, this couple gets to know each other away from the clan and the relationship they build is unique and thoroughly enjoyable.

Narrators Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

Having read thousands of historical and contemporary romances, for a while there I struggled to find something new to interest me. This series has been a welcome and unexpected boost to my romance listening enjoyment. Thanks Ruby Dixon!

I recommend this series.

Very cool addition to the series!

I really enjoyed this story. Rukh is an interesting character. Being a boy who has been alone since he was seven, after his father's death, he's a wild thing that has no social or communication skills. He exist to survive and that's it. Then, he sees Harlow alone in the forest and literally clubs her over the head and takes her back to his cave. Not able to understand the connection the two of them have, Harlow is tasked with teaching him everything he needs to know. After spending a year together, just the two of them, they get unexpected visitors. What happens after that is an interesting story. I enjoyed reading their story and seeing the past characters, catching up with them, seeing where their lives have taken them in the past year. I also really enjoyed the familial connection that we learn about. I'm looking forward to seeing where the next story takes us. Well done to the author and narrators

Very good addition

I liked this one. Harlow and Ruek story was heartwarming and he was so protective of her. I liked that his back stroybtied in with a member of the Alien team, and I enjoyed how Harlow had to teach him everything from language to sex. Very taste fully done and great hot scenes between them

Harlow & Rukh

I’ve been on a binge since finding the IPB series!! I love it!!
Harlow and Rukh’s story reminds me a ton of Liz & Raahosh’s story, just with a few minor adjustments. But it’s super cool how they connect together even though they don’t play a huge part of the main story.
It was nice getting some of the nostalgic feelings of listening to them overcoming the language barrier and culture shocks; it’s been awhile since the girls have come to the planet so those issues don’t happen often anymore and it’s nice to get some of the original feelings back for a bit :)
In my review of book 3 I hoped that we would get to see more of their planet and she delivered! I was super shocked to learn that the ice planet has an ocean!!!! I loved the exploration!
Personally this book felt a bit bland compared to 3 or 1, but I think I feel that way considering there is no overarching conflict in this one and that it is super similar to book 2, but I understand the approach considering Rukh’s past had to be uncovered/finished.
I can appreciate Harlow’s character but she pales in comparison to Kira or Georgie. Ruhk on the other hand had wonderful character development and his personality was lovable! He evolved from a literal dirty barbarian to a loving mate!
Just thank god he took a bath before the nooky… I don’t think I could’ve handled that LOL!!!
Overall, book 4 was enjoyable! It put a lot of smiles on my face! I think you could skip Book 2 and 4 to just read Book 1 and 3 and not miss much, maybe a few minor confusing details.
I’m not sure which direction book 5 will go in, I feel like all scenarios have been explored! I’m excited to see!!
