About this listen

Scott has been living a lie most of his life. He has a secret part of himself that he has not shared with anyone, not even his wife. Scott's life is changed the day that his wife catches him dressing in her clothes. The crossdressing is only the tip of the iceberg that is Scott's secret. Scott has other desires as well, darker desires, and so it turns out does his wife.

In A Sissy Diary we follow Scott as he becomes immersed in these darker desires with the help of his "Auntie Lois" and "Uncle Cliff".

Would you consider the audio edition of A Sissy Diary to be better than the print version?

This depends entirely on one's preference.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

This is one of those rare works of erotica that has a psychological and emotional depth beyond the turn-on, though it certainly has a lot of that as well. What happens if unorthodox sexual fantasies of a sort usually seen as shameful really come true?Scott is a crossdresser who is caught by his wife putting on her clothes. What follows is an erotic tale of what happens to Scott, involving his wife, his sister in law, and his brother in law. What is unusual about this story of systematic humiliation is how it combines a level of psychological realism with the sheer erotic fantasy. Scott is torn by ambivalence as the plot develops: shame and sexual arousal are described in this work in a powerful way I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered before. The result is a story that is not only arousing on the level of sex and humiliation, but interesting, dark, and thoughtful. This is erotica written with the balls and the brain. Also, in its audio book format Pavi Proczko does an excellent job. I was particularly impressed by his artful negotiation of several voices, both male and female. I highly recommend this work.

This is a very different take on any sexy book that I have listened to. It was very interesting. The narrator was great!

This book takes you through the sexual exploration and epiphanies of Scott learning and accepting what he enjoys and who he is sexually. While sprinkling in glimpses of his marriage to Carlee.

I love taboo stories and this one was right up my alley. I loved the kink, bdsm, humiliation and degradation in this book. My 2 drawbacks were the narration sounded like AI voices and the story could have been longer.

As I'm not at all into the sissy kink, I wasn't sure this book would be for me.
Turned out I liked it! It's really different from my m/m read, and I'm not used to switching it up for some F/M.
The story was great overall, and the narrator made me feel the story even if it was written in a diary form.

My only turn off was the wife, Carlee, who I thought was pretty mean from the beginning to the end of the story. Maybe they should have split? I don't know, but I feel Scott would be happier without her.

It was a good listen!

I'm so perplexed on how to review this one that I will break it down into sections.

Plot: Scott is a married man who has enjoyed dressing up in women's clothes for a while before he gets caught by his wife. After his wife runs to her sister for comfort, they ask Scott to come over to talk. Scott was relieved and nervous to learn that his wife doesn't want a divorce, but there are conditions.

Complexities: while I was content to learn more about the cross dressing man, it was more than even that. Scott ends up in a b/l relationship with the sister in law and brother in law where he is now calling them uncle and aunt. There was so much going on within that relationship that I found it to be overstimulating (no pun intended) to fit within the confines of an hour and half.

Writing style: this was told through a "diary" where the narrator read from a diary kept by Scott and I found that to be juvenile, and not in an appropriate way for the content... more in a juvenile writing style.

Narration: Pavi Proczko was the perfect fit for this book. His narration style is story telling, not vocal performing, so the "dear diary" writing was perfect for him. I can't give him a 5 star because his attempted female voice was novice at best. But again, for this book... he was excellent!

Summary: not a bad listen for those in the lifestyle or curious about different lifestyles. If I could change anything, it would be the length because it was rushed to fit in all the expansive content. And I'm still left curious if this type of widespread kink would exist in real life? I've heard of it separately, but in reality? I have questions.

So much going on
