About this listen

The undeniable chemistry between food photographer Catherine Kelley and billionaire gourmand William Lambourne has become an unquenchable thirst.…

Catherine’s career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become - dare she say it? - her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire who’s a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But it’s the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cat’s heart and reawaken her appetite for love.

A weekend trip to William’s vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. He’s promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cat’s version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. It’s hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows she’s holding back, too.

As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be. Book 2 in the Epicurean series.

Any additional comments?

I feel that both of the books in this series feel like a little piece of a book. They stop very abruptly. Seems like a cheap way to sell books - just a few chunks of one story.

Fifty Shades "Want to be" that falls short,

Honestly, I'm not sure if I expected more from this book because of how the 1st book was. But... I definitely was not expecting what I got. I took me several tries to finish this book, after pausing and completing others.

I am not pleased at all. Plus, I think this "series" is too long and drawn out. Don't see the point in punishing the readers or listeners any more. There's not much to anticipate at all, except to find out who this mystery person is and to fill the gap of the cliffhanger I/ we were left with. So... Ms. Grace, will you please come up with the 3rd book already. I'd greatly appreciate it.... thanks.

I really liked A Taste Of You, but some of Cats' eccentricities drove me crazy in this book. By this point the relationship was developed enough for her to stop second (third, fourth...) guessing everything William does. She seems to have no concept of what is required of a major business person. She gets mad when he has to go to work; just because she sets her own schedule doesn't mean he can. These immaturities drove me to somewhat dislike the story line. I'm on the fence about whether this one is worth a credit (the first book was), but I'm not quite dissuaded from going on to book three - hopefully there will be some emotional growth on Cats' part. The narration was wonderful; both female and male voices were believable, accents were good and nothing distracted from the story.

Love to hate it.

Avoided this one for a while bc of the food concept. But I'm so glad I listened! Great concept and not what I thought at all! Love love loved it!!!

Finally Found a Great Series!

With a cliff hanging moment at the end I find book 3 is not out yet ! AHhhh ! A great series that I will follow to the end !

Can't wait for book 3 !

This book has a lot of little parts borrowed from fifty shades of grey...at some points it's almost shameless, but that being said it's an interesting read.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

While she does do a good job acting the narration, this woman cannot for the life of her pronounce anything correctly. It's incredibly distracting and absolutely takes away from the audio book.

Exactly what you'd expect

I admit that Book 1 was strong enough to keep me on the line and buy Book 2 in the series....but this is where I make my exit.

To make it through a series, and keep interest in developments and all the details that are necessary...its important to make at least one of the major characters LIKABLE. In the Epicurean series Cat is too stupid to believe. And "William" doesn't have any redeeming characteristics at all. He's flat, one-sided, too simplistic. What is there does not encourage sympathy, empathy, or any other -pathy. Sorry...can't make it through. Uncle.

Does't Work.....for me, at least...
