About this listen

Most people would probably be embarrassed to land themselves back in their hometown and working at a pizzeria after an ugly divorce.

Not me.

It's home, and I have one last shot to make Wren Daniels see me as more than just her brother's best friend.

When the opportunity to show her what's been right in front of her this whole time presents itself, I take it, holding nothing back this time.

Wren thinks we're pretending, but there's nothing fake about the way I feel.

After all, she's always had...a pizza my heart.

Contains mature themes.

What listeners say about A Pizza My Heart

Highly rated for:

The Book Follows Two Friends Who Reconnect After Years Apart, Reigniting Their Witty Banter And Playful Teasing. While Praised For Its Humorous Writing, Engaging Characters, And Entertaining Plot, Some Felt It Lacked Substantial Romance And Had A Weak Ending. The Pizza-themed Story And Lighthearted Romantic Comedy Elements Were Appreciated, But Some Found Moments Repetitive And The Narration Odd Or Lacking. Overall, It's A Fun, Banter-filled Friends-to-lovers Tale With A Mix Of Positives And Negatives In Its Storytelling And Narration.

Narrators

I’m only on chapter 6 and my have to give up, love Emma Wilder narrating but Alex Kydd’s make me want to cover my ears, slow and words are drawn out.
Storyline so far is great…may try again later :(

Great Read but….

I really enjoyed the back and forth play between Foster and Wren. I did have a few laugh out loud moments which really gets me invested in the characters. The only draw back was Foster’s “valley boy” accent. Emma Wilder’s version of the male voice was much more enticing, she should’ve read the entire book!

Just okay

This book was okay for me. It was a good story but it just felt lacking for me. The characters had no real substance or really any depth to them. I liked the female narrator but the male narrator really bothered me. His voice just sounded like a dumb jock and it made me not like his character.

Can’t listen to the male narrator

Which is a huge shame as I really enjoy Teagans writing. I really tried and played with the speed but I had to quit.

Typical Teagan snarkiness with lots of Pizza!

Warning! Do not listen to this book if you cannot get to food!
I was listening to it while working out in the field and I got so hungry for pizza!

This is an awesome, fun, brother's best friend romance.
Not a lot of drama and lots of laughs (as you can only get from Teagan) and some weird pizza toppings.

Download it! You won't be sorry.

Not normally

I'm so sorry, I'm not normally one to criticize but I really, really struggled with the male narrator -

Omg the male narrator

Loved the story. Emma Wilder is always amazing but the male narrator was like nails on a chalkboard. Totally turned me off from listening to the next two

I’ll read anything by Teagan Hunter

Loved. It. Wasn’t crazy about Alex Kydd as the male narrator. Way to California surfer. I prefer the narrator to have a more broad range. The one thing I can say is that he didn’t grossly mispronounce anything to the point it made my ears bleed. There were occasions I wanted to shout “the word is ‘didn’t’ not ‘Dinnant’”

But overall I loved the book Teagan is great at what she does and to think until a few months ago she wasn’t even on my radar.

RomCom’s are Hunter’s Specialty!

Holy moly! Teagan Hunter has done it again! She has managed to have me LOLing all over the place, gaining crazy stares from my family, and a few strangers! I absolutely loved the sass and wit she put into the characters.

Wren and Foster. Foster and Wren. Anyway you look at it, they are meant to be together! The sparks flew between them instantly and I held on for dear life, watching them together. I loved the way Foster had to work to show Wren she was more than just his best friend's kid sister. When the realization finally hit.....well, let's just say it was a hot slice of pizza for this reader!

Do I recommend this book? Abso-friggin-lutely. Do I want to keep it forever? Abso-friggin-lutely. Do I recommend eating it with pizza? No. If you do, you may choke from laughing often! With a beautiful heroine and a hot, sexy Hero that will melt your socks off, this is a 5 star worthy start to a fantastic new series from who I dubbed the Queen of RomCon. Well done, Hunter. Well done. Bring on the next!

Foster & Wren

A silly, witty and charming friends to lovers romance. Foster and Wren were always meant to be together, it just took them some time to realize it. I adored this story.
